They are almost totally different than when we started in the year 2012.
History:
"We want our local photographs to get more visibility and so we bring our art not only into galleries, but out of them as well, within everyone's reach" The photographs were on display around Tampere during the summer 2012: in busses, on walls, in galleries, in showcases in the local shops.
In the Year 2013 exhibitions have been and will be for instance in Kangasala, Luopioinen and Ylojarvi area.
Juha Allan Ekholm has taken his photographs in the city busses. His photograps will be on display in these busses.
Auli Heinävä has taken photograps in cosy Tammela, neighbourhood of Tampere, her photographs will be exhibited in showcases in the local shops and on the walls of old industrial buildings. According to Auli, city planning has to create urban environments for elderly people to live easily without barriers.
Public boards will be decorated with Hans Viebrock's photos. He has photographed graffiti in uninhabited houses.
The photography project of Maikki Kantola was carried out in cooperation with the male residents of supported housing in a Blue Ribbon Home. The men present themselves in suits in classical studio portraits. The photographs express respect for the humanity of the individual. These photos will be exhibited in showcases in the Tampere City Central Office Building.
Mirja Paljakka has photographed everyday objects in the appartments of elderly people. The darkening evening is depicted in the details. Her project is a photographical story about being old, retired and partly helplessly lonely. Her photographs will be exhibited in a gallery and on the walls of old industrial buildings.
Eijaa Heikkinen has commented by means of photography the stage of a construction site and its surroundings. Her photograps, taken between late summer and early spring, examine how human and machine power change the landscape. Her photographs were taken in Vuores, a new housing district to be built in Tampere by 2020. Photos will be exhibited in a gallery and on the walls of old industrial buildings.
